Goran Djordjevic a new member on Aeroscale has sent in images of his superb build of the Hasegawa 1:72 scale Grumman F-14D Tomcat finished in the low viz markings of VF-101 'Grim Reapers'

The Tomcat, my favorite plane of all time, gets the best of me. Deep detailing project, with all of interior scratch built, with the ultimate goal - to have the unique model of the unique plane in aviation history. Here below I put the photos of finished model, as well as the part of thousands of "work in progress photos"

Decals used, are from DXM, to represent the AD-165, of VF-101 bird. The major source for the detailing was the magnificent book - "Uncover the Gruman F-14 Tomcat", by Danny Coremans. However, hundreds of photos found on the Internet helped a lot. Particular thanks to friends who gave me several photos from private collection, to make the deepest details for interior of - spine build and cockpit side panels interior. One engine moved out, let's see what is inside. The other engine visible, in position. Weapon rails, on the belly, lowered down to see how it look like.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here – on AEROSCALE.
