Many Hollywood legends famously served in the US military, and Iliad Design have honoured five celebrities with their Stars In The Sky decal sheet. The chosen subjects include the original four aircraft from WW2 and now a fifth from the Korean conflict:

The subjects offer a nice variety in finishes, with Olive Drab/Neutral Gray contrasting nicely with n/m on the WW2 bombers, while the Korean War Bird Dog sports overall Field Green with eye-catching white ailerons and flaps on their topsides.
This being an Iliad Design set, it comes as no surprise that the decals themselves are superb quality. The glossy items are beautifully thin, and printed with pin-sharp registration. Carrier film is kept to a minimum - basically no excess at all around most items, and trimmed tightly where it's used to group elements. The colours look excellent throughout, and full national insignia and individual markings are included for each subject, so you can build the whole set without relying on kit decals.
Backing up the decals are two A4 pages of instructions that feature high quality side profiles and simpler plan views. Each subject is treated to a short history of the star in question's service history, and notes accompany the artwork pointing out specific details. A nice final touch is the inclusion of vintage photos showing the celebrities and some of their aircraft, and these might work really nicely featured on display bases for the models.
Conclusion
This is another excellent decals set from Iliad Design, and the theme offers a welcome twist over more usual subjects. At $14.00 it represents excellent value for money, be it for an individual project or a club/group build - certainly, a line-up of all five subjects would be a real head-turner.
