
1/48 scale model kit of the famous air racer designed for Keith-Rider, who was one of the great racer designers of the thirties. Modified from the basic 1933 Keith-Rider R-3. Marcoux-Bromberg Special l was the final modification with increased performance over the basic R-3 called , The Marcoux-Bromberg Special [named after the investor responsible for the modifications] was always piloted by Earl Ortman. In 1938 he won the Golden Gate Classic, setting a record from Oakland to San Diego of 1 hour and 48 minutes. It also participated at the 1938 and 1939 Thompson Trophy races.
