New C-47A Skytrain engine set for Trumpeter kit

Update 24 delivers a complete powerplant upgrade for the 1/48 Trumpeter C-47A Skytrain — a 3D-printed set replacing both engine nacelles with fully detailed, accurate components.

The twin Pratt & Whitney R-1830 radials are one of the most recognizable features of the Skytrain, and this set brings them into sharp focus. Each of the two engines is rendered with crisp cylinder definition and correct proportions, paired with cowlings that capture the C-47's distinctive nacelle profile far more accurately than the kit's stock parts. Detailed propeller assemblies complete the set, finishing off the nose of each engine with the same level of fidelity.

Whether displayed with cowl panels open to show the engine detail or buttoned up for a clean external finish, this set gives the Trumpeter Skytrain a noticeably more convincing powerplant.

Designed as a direct, drop-in replacement for the kit's engine components, with no modification required to the surrounding nacelle structure.
