Typical for pre-war F-4F-3 Wildcats was the instalment of the four early type 0.5 Brownings in the wings. Early type of the Browning machine guns had the oblong holes in the cooling jackets. We carefully reproduced this detail in scale. Only two machine gun barrels are detailed this way - as this details was visible on two inboard installed Brownings only”……………Master
