Sea Fury Mainwheels

Barracuda Studios have released a pair of resin wheel sets to enhance 1:72 Hawker Sea Fury kits.

With patterns created by Gerry Mos, the two sets offer mainwheels with a choice of diamond- or block-style tyre treads. The detail is exquisite, with tiny inflation nozzles recessed in the hubs and up-locks in the centres. Along with the pin-sharp hubs, you'll also find maker's text and data on the sidewalls.

Removing the wheels from their casting blocks will leave slight "flats" to give a realistic sit to the finished model - the Sea Fury is an impressive beast that weighs over 5.5 tons, so you really don't want a model to be standing "on tip-toe"... 

Conclusion

Barracuda's Sea Fury mainwheels are everything you'd expect from this leading aftermarket manufacturer - they're beautifully produced and will definitely enhance any 1:72 kit of Hawker's ultimate piston-engined fighter.
