Roy Sutherland has announced an exciting crop of new BarracudaCast upgrades for the Bf 109G in 1:48 and 1:32 and the Spitfire Mk.IX in 1:32.

Barracuda Studios is proud to announce 8 new products in 1/48 and 1/32 scales. This batch is very heavily Messerschmitt 109G centered, with the exception of the early cowl for the Spitfire Mk IX. Why? Because people love building 109s! There seems to be a never ending thirst for modelling Willy's remarkable fighter.

3 sets are focused on Tamiya's beautiful G-6 in 1/48th scale. It's a great kit, but with a few simple upgrades, your's will stand out from the pack. And our simple new conversion set opens up scores of schemes not possible with the kit built out of the box.

All sets are in stock on the Barracuda website and ready to purchase.

Happy modelling!  Roy

BR48368 1:48 Bf 109G-6 Horizontal Tailplanes w Separate Elevators (Tamiya)

BR48368 1:48 Bf 109G-6 Horizontal Tailplanes w Separate Elevators (Tamiya)

This set contains a new resin horizontal stabilizer w separate elevators. Most 109Gs have elevators hanging in the down position when parked, unless control locks were fitted. BR48369 1:48 Bf 109G-6 and G-14 Variants Conversion (Tamiya)

BR48369 1:48 Bf 109G-6 and G-14 Variants Conversion (Tamiya)

The beautiful Tamiya G-6 has one main problem: it's seriously limited in the number of schemes it can be built with due to a lack of alternate parts. This set supplies you with a tall fin and two different rudders, as well as the compressor bulge fitted to the starboard buele of Erla built G-5s and some G-6s. A battery box cover for the rear bulkhead rounds out the set.  An Erla canopy hood can be sourced from another kit (Eduard) or as a vacform. This set allows you to build a whole range of G-6 and G-14 sub-variants from the Tamiya kit. It assumes a working knowledge of the Gustav variants, as a full description of all the variants and all the changes is outside the scope of a set like this. An easy installation! Master pattern by Roy Sutherland.
