Introduction
This release from Hobby Boss is the Tristar release verbatim. That is not a bad thing as I think it is a nice model and being 1/35th scale makes it a useful scale for the armour modeller as well. The moulds are holding up well and there is a little flash on the sprue itself. Access for removing parts is good and the gates are small in size and not excessive in number. Russ Amott did a nice build review of the Tristar release and so I have provided a link to that review on the old site as he has answered all of the needed questions. I had the chance to see one of these fly at Duxford many moons ago and it is a truly impressive aircraft in its field. It has the ability to basically sit in the sky like a kite with very little forward progression, something that I suspect made it a very effective spotter aircraft and its speed and movement would I feel make it a harder target to hit via other aircraft. When it landed it must have touched ground stopped within 10ft, really stunning.
