Coming soon from AOA Decals is a new 1:72 decal set featuring the USMC F-4B/F-4J Phantoms in the Vietnam War

Next upcoming Q1 release will be 1/72 decals for the Fine Molds F-4B & F-4J Phantom to include schemes covering all the land based USMC F-4 squadrons in the Vietnam War (excluding recon RF-4Bs) across two releases: 72-014 and 72-015 Spooks from the Beach parts 1 and 2 respectively. These two will be similar to the previously released 1/48 versions with some changes and updates, including a few scheme deletions and swaps, but also new scheme additions. Back when I was doing the 1/48 part 2 sheet in 2021, I was disappointed that I had to exclude only one squadron - VMFA-513 Flying Nightmares. Up to that time, I still hadn't been able to locate anything clear enough showing detail of their little cartoon owl on the tail from this 1965 period. I'm happy to say today that's no longer the case and now able to include two VMFA-513 schemes for at least the 1/72 release. I believe this may be the first time 513's Vietnam markings have been represented in any scale? Besides VMFA-513, the other squadrons of course included in the two 1/72 releases are VMFA-115 Silver Eagles, VMFA-122 Crusaders, VMFA-212 Lancers, VMFA-232 Red Devils, VMFA-314 Black Knights, VMFA-323 Death Rattlers, VMFA-334 Falcons, VMFA-531 Gray Ghosts, and VMFA-542 Tigers.
