You have never heard of XB-1? 

So here is a short introduction

Boom XB-1 is the first independently developed civil supersonic jet built in the United States since the era of the Concorde. Created by Boom Supersonic, the aircraft serves as a technology demonstrator for a future passenger airliner called Overture. XB-1 was designed to fly faster than the speed of sound while using modern lightweight carbon-composite materials and advanced digital flight systems. One of its most unusual features is the augmented-reality vision system that helps pilots land the aircraft because its long, aerodynamic nose limits forward visibility. During testing, engineers focused heavily on reducing the loud “sonic boom” that made earlier supersonic passenger flights unpopular over land. The aircraft’s sleek shape was inspired by both military jets and classic race cars, combining speed with fuel efficiency. XB-1 completed its first flight in 2024, marking a major milestone in the return of civilian supersonic aviation.
