Here we take a quick look at the ICM release World War II Pilots of British Naval Aviation in 1/32nd scale.

Review

This figure release from ICM in 1/32nd scale would be suitable for use with ICM’s Sea Gladiator or one of the suitably scaled Naval aircraft offerings from Trumpeter or HobbyBoss. The 3 figures in this release to be fair are certainly not all pilots. One would appear to be a low ranking Royal Navy seaman, one of them is an Officer in working uniform - who in fairness could be a pilot, and finally a figure suitably attired and equipped as a pilot. The uniform detail of all 3 individuals looks to accurately replicate uniform of the day. With the person who I have indicated as a low ranking seaman possessing a tin of paint and a paint brush - OK he could be painting a repair in an aircraft. When it comes to surface detail the pilot takes the high mark as the crease detail is particularly pleasing, with one complaint in that the flying goggles have been moulded separately, but why on earth are they not in clear plastic?? Hand detail is the usual good quality I have come to expect from ICM, but I find the faces a little lack lustre for this scale, especially when I know how well ICM can do in 1/48th scale.
