The set includes two sheet of masks (shown in the picture).  The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. Material is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.

The Paint Mask Set is suitable for Su-25UB wearing the distinctive Ukrainian green “clover-spots” camouflage. The Clover-Frogfoots were located at Kulbakino Air Base, Mykolaiv – Ukraine.  This is the home of 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade that uses Su-24M, Su-25, L-39C and L-39M. The camouflage resembles original Soviet Paint Scheme used on Mil Mi-24 Attack helicopters. However, darker greens were used instead of the original Mi-24 colors. Further in late 2010s, Su-25 jets received Ukrainian Air Force digital camouflage. That light grey colors were applied following the upgrade of the Su-25 to M1 and UBM1 standard.

The Sukhoi Su-25UB seen in this camouflage can be found on reference pictures both as very worn in appearance and with bright new colors. The worn appearance allows for interesting weathering on the finished model, which combined with the sun-burned colors will turn into very authentic looking miniature. The shark mouth can be applied for Frogfoots in mid-2010s, but some bort numbers can be seen without it in late 2000s. Both variants are doable – with and without the shark mouth. The lady silhouette seen on the tail is to be applied on bort number 62, on the starboard side of the vertical fin.

The Camouflage, for better authenticity, refer to actual pictures of the Frogfoots in Ukrainian service. On the horizontal stabilizers, there are variations of painting, with or without clover-spots. Decals are required for the Ukrainian technical stencils, the emblem on the intakes and the emblem on bort 65 vertical fin. This paint mask set features Ukrainian Roundels, Ukrainian shield Emblem, bort numbers 60, 62 & 65 and smaller numbers to be used with the additional fuel tanks. Clover spots for the fuel tanks are also included. This set are best suited for bort number 62. There are additional spots for the other two bort numbers- 60 & 65.
