The custom-printed Cartograf decals are excellent quality, with the thin, glossy items showing pin-sharp registration and minimal carrier film. The text is fully legible in both scale - basically, the only difference is a slightly revised layout of the items from one sheet to the other.

There are sufficient stencils for a single model on each sheet, with a few spare items in some cases. There are choices of stencil styles for the inside of the pilot's access door, plus markings for bombs if appropriate to the version you're building. Patches of red-oxide are provided for the gun ports, and a neat touch is that these are curved to conform to the shape of the wings.

Roy Sutherland has included a detailed set of instructions, with clear stencil placement diagrams and a step-by-step guide to applying the decals.

Conclusion

Barracuda's Spitfire stencils are beautifully produced and will be very useful either as superior replacements for kit decals or for cases where a kit doesn't include stencils at all.
