A really fantastic little diorama from modelling friend Gerardo Quarello and his P 51B Mustang

P 51B Mustang ( G4 ° N - 42-106473) of Captain John Pugh of the FS 362 °, 357 ° FG based in Leiston (GB). In March 1944 the provisions of 357 ° FG had paint on the nose of his aircraft chess yellow-red with the cone in three segments always the same colour. But somebody, for an unspecified reason, Pugh painted a plane in this way. It is not known precisely how long to keep up this kind of colour and if he flew operational missions (think not) but from June to July of that year took the P 51 staining "normal", with discharges above the symbols missions carried out under discharges as "Geronimo" and under the passenger compartment of the symbols of the victories. Pugh for the war with 6 confirmed kills the last of which was a Fw 190 August 7, 1944, probably in the Italian skies, returning from the Soviet Union on a mission escorting bombers (5th Operation Frantic)
