Produced by Ray Horwell at Fantasy Printshop, North American F-100D Super Sabre Collection Pt. 3 offers markings for three colour schemes - this time with quite an international theme as it includes a pair aircraft based overseas.
Us usual the decals arrive in a simple zip-lock bag, and are accompanied by 2 x A4 sheets instructions printed in colour.
This time the four featured aircraft are:
1. F-100D s/n 55-2796 of the 511th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 405th Tactical Fighter Wing USAF, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, 1959
2. F-100D s/n 55-3558 "Stinger" of the 35th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 8th Tactical Fighter Wing USAF, Itazuke Air Force Base, Japan, 1960
3. F-100D s/n 56-3315 of the 492nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, 48th Tactical Fighter Bomber Wing USAF, Chaumont Air Force Base, France, 1959
Once again the decals are spread across two sheets - with individual aircraft markings on one, and US Air Force insignia and stencils for a single F-100D on the other.
The quality of the decal printing is suprb as usual with Euro Decals, with the thin, glossy items precisely in register. The crystal clear carrier film is so tight to the outline of the items, so there's no excess except where it's used to provide support or to group multiple items. Colour density of the inks used looks very strong and I find Fantasy Printshop decals snuggle down beautifully with light application of standard setting solutions.
The schemes are illustrated with high quality colour profiles and plan views, and colour matches are given for Humbrol, Xtracolour, Xtracrylix and Lifecolor paints.
All the featured schemes are very attractive, and the trio would look stunning displayed together. Most modellers are unlikely to have the space for three 1:32 Super Sabres in their collection of classic jets, so the set would be ideal as a shared club-build project. But, if you're looking to complete more than one of the colour schemes, you'll need additional national insignia and stencil markings. Happily, Ray now offers the second decal sheet separately to allow modellers to make full use of the main set:

Conclusion
Euro Decals' Super Sabre decals are excellent quality, and the spectacular unit markings sported by many F-100Ds offer the chance to produce some really show-stopping models. Producing decals of this calibre is a skilled art, so the set is by necessity quite an outlay if you only intend to build a single model. However, it's much more affordable if you can make full use of the decals and spread the cost by completing all the featured aircraft.
