Review

Zvezda has gone up greatly in my estimations recently with some really nicely detail and designed models hitting the stores. The packing used is of a high standard an other than packing decals with clear sprues I am otherwise happy. One of the latest products to hit the shelves is a Lagg-3 in 1/48th scale; an aircraft that had a bad name with pilots being both under powered and over weight for it designed purpose. This is one of those aircraft that would have been produced in low numbers but WW2 had other ideas. The detail on the model is of a very good standard in my opinion and the inclusion of a very nice engine opens up display options. I also like the pilot figure included that has good detail and gives the cockpit purpose that is also a nice aspect of the release. The surface detail both raised and recessed also score well.
