The Trumpeter 1/24 Hawker Hurricane Mk I Engine Set has now reached the end of its design stage.

Please note that this is still a work in progress and does not represent the final product. The latest design stage has now been printed and test-fitted into the Trumpeter kit. The result is very encouraging: the overall fit is excellent, with only a few dimensional refinements remaining before production.

The oil tank within the inner trailing edge, together with its complete pipework, is now in place, as is the BTH AS3 magneto for the hand crank mechanism. With the structural framework, equipment and pipework now fully represented, only minor refinements and one final validation build remain before this project moves into production.

We’re now taking a short two-week summer break before returning for the final stretch. Have a wonderful summer, and as always, your comments, references and feedback are greatly appreciated.
