The Fairchild C-123 Provider was an American military transport aircraft developed after World War II and produced by the Fairchild Aircraft Corporation. It entered service with the US Air Force in 1955. In addition to the US Air Force, it was also actively operated by the Coast Guard, and by the Federal Aviation Administration in Alaska.
