I wanted to let you know that this Saturday, October 18, I’ll be attending CapCon 2025 in Ottawa!

I invite you to stop by my table (Vendor Room B) — I’d be happy to meet you, talk modeling, and give you a close-up look at the assembled prototype of the CT-114 Tutor Snowbirds.

I’m also sharing a few preview images of the prototype here.

Please keep in mind that there’s still some fine-tuning work to be done on a few assembly details.

And very important — don’t judge the clarity of the clear parts just yet! The prototype ones are 3D printed, but the production kit will feature injected clear plastic parts, just like what you’re used to seeing in commercial kits.

The prototype was assembled as is, with no joint treatment (no filler applied). In the end, I sprayed the whole model with Mr. Primer Surfacer 1000.
