A windy day at a remote beach somewhere in the South Pacific. Many decades ago, a P38 Lightning suffering from engine and radio problems, was forced to ditch on an uncharted South Sea island. What happened to the pilot? Was he ever rescued? Who knows...

But this aircraft lies undiscovered, other than by a few tropical birds and the odd seagull, lying here for all time. A remnant of a long forgotten conflict, it's only battle now, is with the elements, a battle it will surely lose eventually.
