B-17 Fortress In RAF Service- WPA 48
We're delighted to announce that the next volume of the Wingleader Photo Archive series (WPA48) will be Boeing B-17 Fortress in RAF Service, and it's one of the best so far.
This book has been a long time in production, with four of us digging deep into the archives to uncover details of the B-17's service with 90 Squadron, RAF Coastal Command and 100 Group. A lot of this service was censored at the time, especially the 100 Group ops, so we had to dig deeper than usual to find the truth. What we did discover is that a lot of accepted knowledge was wrong and most 100 Group B-17 models on the internet are inaccurate as a result. We also discovered some previously unpublished photos that reveal some great detail on the subjects.
