ResKit Update 24: New F-4 Phantom II detail sets now available!
Update 24 introduces three new 1/48 scale detail sets engineered specifically for the F-4 Phantom II, addressing two of the most commonly upgraded areas on this airframe: intake geometry and undercarriage accuracy.
Air intake ducts — RSU48-0477 (Zoukei-Mura) / RSU48-0478 (MENG)
Stock kit intakes rarely capture the true depth and curvature of the Phantom's distinctive variable-geometry ducts. These 3D-printed replacements are modeled to correct that, giving both the Zoukei-Mura and MENG kits intake trunking with accurate depth, wall thickness, and internal detail — visible improvement whether the model is built with intake covers off or on.
F-4J/S landing gear with weighted wheel set — RSU48-0621 (Zoukei-Mura)
A hybrid Metal + 3D-printed set replacing the kit's landing gear and wheels. The metal struts provide the structural strength needed to support the finished model's weight, while the weighted wheel design replicates the natural tire deformation seen under load — a detail that meaningfully affects how the finished build reads on the shelf.
All three sets are designed as direct, drop-in upgrades for their respective donor kits, requiring no modification to the surrounding structure.
