Spitfire XIV Conversion Test Build

Laminar Flow Design has done a test fit of the conversation set for the Spitfire Mk.XIV utilising Eduard 1:48 scale Spitfire VIII

"Playing around breaking cages and testing parts.

So far so good.

Except I messed up the LH canon cover. Have to wait for the repair to harden before integrating the E cover.

The plan for the release:

2 base cages, containing the all essential parts to model a MkXIVc from an Eduard VIII boxing. With theses 2 cages it will also be possible to do a low back XIVe by using a XVI and a VIII donor (by crafting the VIII tail wheel area to the low back fuselage, and adding the E canon blisters to the VIII wing, more on that soon)

There will be a third optional cage, containing the post ww2 big tail and rudder, all the FR bits for both high and low back, and E wing canon blisters (in case you want to do a High back XIVe)

I’m also looking into doing a 4th optional cage with all the cockpit bits and dashboard.

No mask are planned for this one. There are plenty of decal options available

Cheers"...................................................M
