2012 MOM Retrospecive

introduction
2012's Model of the Month contest got off to a very rocky start at the beginning of the year. Our previous coordinator had to step down, and it took several months for me to find someone able to teach me the necessary steps to take, because not only was I taking over the contest, but Aeroscale was changing the entire format. I had to learn the new system from people who didn't know it themselves.

Luckily, the Kitmaker Network staff are wonderful people. Marcin from Historicus Forma and our very own Michal were instrumental in helping me get my feet on the ground and teaching me what I needed to know.
the contest
I was a little worried when I announced that the contest was back on. Slightly less than 4 months had gone past without it, and I feared that we had lost momentum. That's where you came in. You, our Aeroscale members, stepped up and reassured me that I hadn't done all that learning in vain. This year's contests have kept me busy running about like a madwoman, updating entries, collecting votes and happiest task of all, informing the winners of their victories.
2012 retrospective
Now it's time for yet another happy task. This feature looks back on all the other entries I received during every Model of the Month contest in the past year. These models may not have won the big prizes, but they're still among the best models to have been displayed on Aeroscale. Once more, I am privileged to share them with you.
conclusion
On behalf of the entire staff at Aeroscale, I'd like to thank all of you for the wonderful pictures you've entered into this year's contests. I look forward the to seeing your work in next year's contest, and I want to take the opportunity to extend the challenge to everyone who didn't enter this year: Step up and take the chance to enter your work. Who knows? Next year might see your model in the spotlight.
