Using Tamiya's 1/48 Bf109 E-3 kit. The kit was built almost out of the box with only addition Eduard etch seatbelts. The model was painted using Mr Colour paints and weather it with oil paint and Mig pigments. Being a self confessed Adolf Gallend fan, Sam used the kits decals provided the markings for Kommandeur Adolf Galland, III./JG26 in France, August 1940 but during her research she discovered that Galland didn't fly an E-3. The aircraft that carried these markings was an E-4 with an earlier style canopy. the 9 Staffel 'Hell Hound' didn't remain on the aircraft for long as it was repainted with Galland's classic 'Dolfo' around Sept/Oct 1940. Despite this accuracy issue Sam says she enjoyed building this kit and it's another on to add to her collection of Galland Planes
