I am on for this one!

Unfortunently too many things to choose from. Probably I will finish both some T-47 speeders from Star Wars, a 1947 Horten VTOL fighter and maybe a couple of others.

More to follow.

So I'm in on this one, trying to finish as many models as I can before I have to pack away the workbench in September for 3 years.

This is the Tamiya 1/48 F-16C that has been 2/3 painted for....I don't know how many years. On Saturday I finished the masking and sprayed the dark grey.

Afterburner decals for the short lived Aggressor squadron based at RAF Bentwaters in the late 80s

I'm IN! I've got a target rich environment. Maybe my Stearman, the F-80C that needs a bunch of decals, any of the 7 or 8 kits listed in my signature line.

Let's clean them out!

I will start out with the Horten what-if 1947 VTOL fighter. I am finishing it in a desert scheme - inspired by the Bf 109 scheme scheme from 1941-42.

Looking good, Neil! Cool to see the unusual decaling getting in place.

Pilots for my fighter are done. More to follow.

Hello mates,
as I failed to complete my British Phantom for the HOTM 2019 Campaign, I'm happy to be an early starter for Hangar Queen 10
Here is my entry now…

Sorry for the tiny image...another (hopefully better) one will follow.

Hi Everyone!

Sorry for the delay in getting anything posted in a while, but I've been at war with (take your pick), the computer, the phone with the pictures, or uploading onto the site albums.

I was able to get a shot of my Hasegawa 1/48 Ki-61, begun a couple of years ago, and it was one of the queens to make the move. Hopefully, I can overcome the wing fuselage issue that turned it into a queen to begin with!

Keep up the great stuff that is going on here!

Nice choice, John!

Peter, great to see the Phantom getting the treatment in this campaign. Looking forward to see it finished in that striking scheme.

So my F-16 is finished. Very, very happy with how it turned out considering its been sat swathed in dust and masking tape the last 5 years. The Tamiya kit is absolutely superb, one of the best kits I've ever built, the quality is really obvious when you place it next to the Kinetic and Hasegawa kits.

Onto the pics. F-16C Block 30, 527th Aggressor Squadron, RAF Bentwaters, 1989.

I made the intake cover using a piece of cardboard, covered it tissue paper soaked in white glue and painted yellow. Red Star came from the decal sheet.

It's also a rare bird in that although it was one of the first Block 30 F-16s, which came equipped with the new GE engine, the early ones still had the "small mouth" intake, later Block 30s coming equipped with the "big mouth" intake due to their requirement for a larger airflow.

The decals are from the now defunct Afterburner Decals.

I used the Tamiya metal detailing set for the pitot probes and ejection seat belts.

Inspiration for the real thing to finish up with. Alas the 527th was very short lived with F-16s, lasting less than 2 years before the end of the Cold War brought about their disbandment.

Is there a campaign folder to put pics of the completed model in?

Neil,

Nice finish! It looks so much better than sitting on the self of doom! I really like the unique paint scheme!

Sieht prima aus, Peter! So eine blaue Phantom hat was. Ist doch immer schön, wenn ein Modell vom Tisch ist und das nächste in Angriff genommen werden kann, was?

That's a lovely Tomb there Peter. I remember reading a newspaper article when I was at university on the retirement of the Phantoms from RAF Germany, featuring a picture of the blue "special" taking off in full reheat.

28? Years ago....where does the time go?

Lotsa choices this year, maybe I'll get more than one done. I'll start with this one.

It's RoG's 1/72 Stearman Kaydet. I've got it painted, rigged and some of the decals added. I left the cockpits (benches really) out to pull the rigging.

I still have a few parts and pilots to add.

My progress was documented in
Mark Builds a Biplane
Maybe I'll finish this kit before its first birthday.

Beautiful build, Peter. Stricking in the overall blue scheme. Well done!
Peter, will I see you in HOTM 2020 this year?

Mark, colorful bird! Hope you will get it finished!

I'm in.. it doesn't matter which kit I SAY I am going to finish.. something else will get done first.. happens every time.

Lately the 1/72 Stuka w 75mm cannons has gotten some bench time,

I opened back up and pawed through the 1/35 Hind (and recently bought more aftermarket for),

I moved the 1/72 Ka-50 to another shelf,

I reboxed the fictional JSDF F-15E Strike Eagle stencils in progress and needing final assembly( little known Japanese contribution to the early war on terror, working title Tora-Tora-Tora Bora)

There is also a 99.95% built FM Millennium Falcon that needs paint.

So, we pays our moneys and we takes our chances..
Anybody want to guess which gets done first?

Mike

Thanks, Jesper, yes, possibly with Academy's new B-1 Lancer or if I can get my hands on it, Roden's new FW-200 Condor in 1/144

Thank you Neil! I remember one displayed at the IAT 1991 or 1992. Some years later I found one in the Czech Air Museum at Kbely near Prague, have to check my old colour slides in the cellar
