Hi my friends

In this thopic I will try to create one Bulgarian, military national treasure - Arado Ar 196 A3 - the only well preserved plane at the world

The model is 1/32 revell kit with a lot of after-market of course BigEd, metal machine-gun barrels from Master and resin parts from Quickboost

The plane will be post-war, from 1945, reg num:2, with one-color green camo and "ОФ" identification markings:

And let fun begins:

Cheers friends

I know a site devoted to planes of this scale that would love to see this. I have seen a few builds of this kit but not to the level of additional detail you are taking this one.

Stunning detail!
And I'm a sucker for a float plane.

Chavdar, I too am a sucker for a float plane and the Arado Ar196 is as good as they come!

Often overlooked in kit form, my ideal wish would be to see the Arado and the Walrus both receive new tools in 1/72... but that's another tale for another time.

Your build looks stunning so far and your attention to detail is fantastic!

Chavdar,
Just an amazing build to date. In 1/32 scale your attention to added details really has paid terrific dividends. Your build is simply spectacular to date.

Looking forward to your next update with hopefully the painting and weathering completed.

The engine cowl, spinner, and prop blades look really good. Looking forward to your next update to see how the final color coats and weather turns out.

Thanks Joel
Well yes it is real as I can imagine a WW2 plane in color
There are only two pictures of the plane with number 2 in black/white. Our Arado at Krumovo museum is well preserved after many restavrations... only floats and engine are the original parts that left . . . but about the model itself - like Stanley Kubrick said - Detail is a genius
Cheers my friend

Chavdar,
Congtrats on crossing the finish line. Just an exceptional build. and the display diorama just adds that much more, creating a great overall scene for the viewers to appreciate the aircraft's operational concept.
