I finally came to the realization I needed to go through the pile of kits I have and that many of the kits I had squirreled away over the years were VERY old and the technology used to create them were also VERY outdated.

The F-82e i just finished is no exception. I started it years ago, started and stopped several times when I got frustrated, fed up or otherwise uninspired. In an effort to clear the backlog so to speak, I forced myself to finish this one finally. I took it as far as I could (stand), with lots of filler, masking and taping and painting and gritting my teeth to finish.

Others have said this thing is handful, and I TOTALLY agree. Thank God its done finally!

Came out pretty well Matt I like the colourful markings she's wearing. Just where were the build issues if you don't mind me asking?

Never built it myself but the Twin idea has fascinated me since the Luftwaffe started using Mistels and Joining two perfectly good He111's together. I might actually invest in one of these as I likes me a challenge! LOL famous last words probably.

Thanks!

The fit was HORRIBLE. Pretty much every edge was off, had a gap or needed fitting. LOTS of fitting. Hahah. If you're a glutton for punishment, its a good candidate!

Another reason why Modelcraft was such a short-lived company. Although I do think I know the owner, who lives in British Columbia and owns a model import business. I think Modelcraft only marketed a handful of kits, ranging from bad to not bad and good. You've done a superb job with this old dog, that's for sure!

Matt,
a most impressive build for sure. One rarely sees a F-82 built these days.

I built mine back in 2011, by far the most difficult kit I've ever built.
