Okay, seems IMGUR is out of the question for image hosting as well, at least as far as their TOS is concerned.

Quoted Text

"Also, don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network. If you do – and we will be the judge – or if you do anything illegal, in addition to any other legal rights we may have, we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, report you to the authorities if necessary, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. We mean it."

Now I don't know how vehement exactly they are about enforcing those rules, though, and/or if it's intended more against their service being used for image hosting for entire websites and commercial purposes like Ebay listings and the like, rather than ordinary posting on forums and the like.

it just looks like they don'y want you to use it for anything illegal.

maybe kitmaker should start their own image hosting site for the general public and us here. with a minimal charge to anyone that is a member of this site.

But Kitmaker do have their own image hosting site. Click on the "Gallery" tab and it will take you it. For a minimal charge each month of around $4usd you get up to 500MB of storage if you become a subscriber to Kitmaker. You can then generate image links to use in your posts.

& no I don't work for them

As I mentioned in my prior post on this topic I don't like 'free' image hosting sites because of the ambiguity over who owns my images. Hence a long while ago I signed up as a subscriber to Kitmaker and all these issues with PB and Imgur and so on aren't a problem for those of us with a subscription who use the Kitmaker Gallery to host their images

Remember guys, nothing is for 'free' in this life and at some point the people at PB, Imgur etc will want to recoup the money they invest in servers to host all those pictures. Owning and running servers isn't cheap. Not to mention, how do you really feel about your images being on some site you have no control over whatsoever?

Don't get me wrong: I feel for everyone who's blogs are now full of 'PB error' images instead of their own, but relying on a 'free' service comes with no guarantees.

Odd, all my hotlinked PB-hosted pictures seem to show up alright, and I haven't gotten any emails about their change of policy - until now. And that email was sitting firmly in the spam folder, and seemed to have sent from "info[at]pbdeals.com" with the links in it pointing to addrsses nowhere even remotely resemling anything official... (and yeah, of course I didn't click on any of those)

Heh, seems these recent events have gotten all kinds of scammers and other lowlife active as well.

Gentlemen I've just found this link on another modelling site its an extension for Chrome so you can see the blocked images I've Installed it and it seems to work. Try it and let me know your results. There is also one for Firefox let me know if any of you use that browser and I'll add the link for it too. Or alternatively go here
