Hmmmmm, definite similarity at the front end, probably very close aerodynamically as well!

At the opposite end of the sleekness spectrum, we need somebody to build one of these:

Somewhere in the boxes (probably in the one that's underneath all the other ones, right at the back of the storage locker) I have one of these:

One of these:

And also one of these:

Will I be able to dig them out in time?

Indeed those are some interesting twins Jessica, and I'm guessing your question was rhetorical? However, I guess it boils down to a few factors, will life give you the time to search, can you remember which box contains the goodies you want and just how distracted will you be by the other kits you'll find in your search??

LOL I know I'll go looking for a kit and get caught up with the others I'll find along the way. usually along the lines of oh I'd forgotten I had that!

Sheesh, I have maybe a dozen kits, and I wonder how I can justify buying more until I build most of them. However, trolling Ebay is bad because I always find a deal I can't pass up.

I do need more twins, though. *wink*

Just a curious question. At my most recent count I have 113 kits in my stash. I am wondering where I stand in comparison to others.

LOL I wonder if we really want to do this?? Comparing stash sizes? Oh well any who...... I have 485 kits last count not including resin aftermarket bits or decal sheets. A mixed bag of mainly aircraft but I have armour in there as well in 1/35th 1/48th and 1/72. I'm sure there are many others whose kit count goes into the thousands.

Howdy Y'all
@Pricklehead-Do you really want to open that can of worms? I stopped counting once the inventory hit 800. Since then I've sold off about 200. My 1/48 aircraft stash is around 100.

If I obtain a kit I get rid of a kit. My inspiration for reforming my addiction? This post:

Always loved twin engine bombers so I'll be entering with the new Airfix Whitley. Looks to be a nice kit, although the fuselage/wing assembly looks to me unnecessarily complex. We will see how it all fits.

I'm thinking of finishing it as the all over matt black 10sqn machine.

Very strange, I was looking to post a reply but both buttons were missing, so I went to the forums list and saw that it was locked. I though that maybe my ribbon suggestion may have contravened some site rules

Anyway, all sorted now so onwards and upwards!

Stephen, thanks for posting up, I look forward to following your build. Those all-black schemes always look just that bit more menacing, nice choice.

WRT stashes, mine sits at about 80, mostly WWII aircraft, a handful of cars and armour, and 4 ships. I have just seen the 1/24 Kinetic P-47 Razorback advertised as available, hmmmm, Christmas just around the corner

Cheers, D

It knocks the socks off the old Russian Frog rebox I have in my stash. Not even sure what I'll do with that now. And yes, the black and low-viz markings do give it a sinister look.
I'm looking forward to the Coastal Command Mk.VII due for release next year.

Sorry about opening the can of worms on the stash size!

Seems I am about average or there about. I did manage to walk into the local hobby shop on Saturday and come out empty handed!

Hi guys, very nice suggestions for a Twin and great activity here with some cool entry ideas!

While sneaking around the net and checking my stash I decided to support Revell with my money and give the Hudson Mk.I/II Patrol Bomber a try. I read some reviews before, but anyway. Think I need much of that stuff beside for all those windows, the camo and decals

It's heeeeeeeerrrrrrrrreeeeeeee:

 photo 20151125_1322520_zps1znuuauc.jpg

Man, those guys from Tamiya sure know how to present a kit! The box is a good deal larger than earlier 1/32 releases but surprisingly a few mm shallower. Still, the parts certainly don't disappoint!

While I'm hip deep in other projects, I couldn't resist going through the instructions and labeling color callouts (the instructions just have Tamiya paint numbers). This is going to be a sweet build!

Awesome Michael! I especially like the fact that it's an RNZAF bird! Now all I need is to get the 1/24th scale Airfix Mosquito kit and I'll be happy .... poorer .... but happy!

I have both kits now Chris and I have to say that I think the Tamiya kit is more detailed (though not hugely, Airfix really is getting to be pretty good these days). I'm almost certain, based on what I've read, that the Tamiya kit will go together better!

Hmmmm bigger and more of a challenge ..... I'm definitely going the Airfix route! Sigh ..... now if I could just find the space to actually display it!

Bump time folks, keeping this one near the top. Only a couple of days to go, 26 enlisted.

Thomas, excellent choice.

Michael, you're going to have a bunch of fun with that one mate!

And as usual, because I can . . . .

OK, given that the official build thread is now live, this current thread will now be locked. Have at it everyone!
