Well, I am going to take my Eurocopter Tiger HAP (1/72 Revell) as finished.
Very happy with the camo, happy with most of the things but not happy at all with the canopy that is a bit cloudy. I will try to improve that in my next model.

Carlos,

I think it looks great, it looks like it means business! I was going to ask what you did with the clear parts used as grills/vents etc, did you just paint them or put a wash on them so you could still see through? The clear parts are causing me a bit of a dillema I'm not sure whether to just paint over them or not.

Thanks Rich, you are being very generous. What I did is to airbrush them with a translucent layer of black. I didn't have translucent paint so I did it by mixing something like 5 parts of thinner 5 parts of gloss varnish and 1 of black paint (all of them model air). I did a couple of coats of that to make it darker, and it is far from prefect but once glued into the model looks OK.

Cool choice, Yalym. An oldie, but a goodie

Dave, I have heard bad stuff about the kit, so it will be interesting to hear your opinion and follow your build. Please share your progress.

Well iv started the Hind and so far so good iv got most of the cockpit together and i have to say its not to bad the detail is a little lacking but i can live with that . Theres not much out there in the way AM goodies for this kit so im just going to build this one OTB also i need it to be quite a quick build as i want to get started on my F-16 for my Birds of Prey campaign .. @ Jesper i cant really see much wrong with this kit all the parts are nicely moulded for its age and everything seems to fit ok.. What have you heard about it ? do you know of anything i should look out for ??.

PS some pics tomorrow

Dave, I have heard about serious fit problems with the fuselage and aligning the wings. I do not know if it is true. It could also be "operator error" on the part of the model builder.

It will be interesting to hear your experience. Wanted to buy this kit several times, but has not so far because of the things I have heard about it.

Cobra Company has a cockpit set, exterior details and three different weapons sets. I've got both the cockpit and exterior sets which greatly improve the kit details.

Hi all quick update on the Hind .. Iv got the two halfs together now and i will say it was a bit tricky theres a lot that needs to line up right inside to get a good fit and theres some filling to do around the engines area but apart from that its all ok so far..the main rotor head has a few small tricky parts but then what heli dosnt.. The tail rotor is on and was easy to install..

Hi all ... Well iv been busy with the Hind and iv made quite a bit of progress , All the main areas of the build are done ie the cockpit canopy and wings ect . It all went together ok apart from the starboard side wing the fit was really bad so i had to do some work on it to get a nice join , strangely the port side was a really nice fit but oh well , after i got it all together and was happy with all the alinements i sprayed the main colors down and left it to dry , im quite happy with how its turned out especially around the canopy frames as it was quite tricky to mask , still a few touch ups to do tho...

Hi guys. I have a dummy question. What is the suitable colour for Vietnam War era US Army chopers? FS code or Humbrol will be sufficient for me. I know taht newer ones, from 1980s on, are Helo Drab but older ones look different. Maybe because of the hues of the chemical films I don't know. So anyone?:}

Ok, one day to the deadline I better put some progress report. I screwed up real bad in the canopy but I decided to rise the stakes and do a double Cobra Threat! Addition is Fujimi, so called, S. I fiddled with the turret and converted it to a P.
