Enlisted, first in but I'm sure I won't be alone for long. This promises to be a cracking good fun campaign!

Cheers, D

The choice of kit seems gratuitous considering it is already practically one of the main subjects of a campaign already setup to run through 2014. (The DeHavilland Vampires, Venoms, etc one) Why not pick something else when there are so many other choices that are both cheap and quality, especially in 1/72?

I have to agree with van on this. The appearance of the de havilland campaign makes the vampire seem a bit silly.

What about the Airfix 1/72 Emil?

The de Havilland campaign ends in February whereas this one runs from January until June. There's only 2 months overlap.

Besides, the world needs more Vampires. Shall I make a rule that the Vampire trainer is not welcome in the DH campaign?

No. Vampires should be invited to every DH party.

Uh oh. The small version is nearly washed out. Maybe fill in the sketch of the plane-- or at least that left tire?

Enlisted No 8 now I've just got to find a Vampire T11. I bet it is easier to build than the AeroClub one I built a few years ago, and it will definitely have more detail on

Well, it's not American, it's NMF, I rarely finish campaigns: should I get into this mess???

Squadron had one for $9.00, so I'm IN.....

...it's NMF,...

Well actually if we're dividing rabbits it's not NMF. It's very difficult to have a partially wooden aircraft in natural metal. The silver is High Speed Silver lacquer instead, which may make you feel better about doing this model

and of course if you don't like silver you can have Swiss or RAF grey or Swedish green and I'm sure I'll find a few more options before I'm finished. Pity the Sea Vampire is not allowed, it has a very fetching Blue and white RN scheme. BTW a LMS has the starter pack for £10.99, probably cheaper than Hannants after you add the postage, got another couple of sources to check out yet.

Not going to show a pointless pic, got a kit at my LHS (20miles from home) at £7.99 without getting the useless crap for £3.00 extra. Had a quick peek in the box, looks very nice, looking forward to building it. In the mattor of recent talk about rabbits, I should remind you all, that rabbits are noted for multiplying, dividing is a misconception.
