Introduction
Master Details have just released a nice WW2 Tropical U.S. Navy/Marines Fighter Pilot in 1:32. Perfect timing, since Tamiya has announced the imminent release of a "Birdcage" Corsair in the same scale! Now we have a nice figure to be placed beside the forthcoming kit.

U.S. Navy/Marines Fighter Pilot WW-2 Tropical
The 1:32 scale U.S. Navy/Marines Fighter Pilot from Master Details is composed of three resin parts and three white metal ones. The content of the small zip-lock bag is the following:
- One pilot body.
- Two pilot arms.
- Two optional pilot heads.
- One pilot helmet chin strap.

The resin castings are nicely done and, apart from the molding line along the legs, assembling shouldn't be a problem. Only thing one will have to really master is the painting as this is crucial for the final look of the figure. There are no instructions for the colours required, but the accompanying photo should be enough to figure out the right shades. Two heads are provided - one with helmet and one with cap. Don't worry about the missing right hand, it is in the pilot's pocket. The pose of the figure is rather casual and it doesn't seem as if the pilot is going to fly on operations soon, so this item would look good for a maintenance scene in my opinion.

Conclusion
Master Details' 1:32 scale U.S. Navy/Marines Fighter Pilot WW-2 Tropical should represent a very nice accompaniment for an aircraft such as the Hellcat or the Corsair. In 1:32 scale there are several aircraft kit available from different manufacturer and Tamiya will be added to the list soon. If you have the required painting skills for such a figure there is no reason why it shouldn't look gorgeous.
