JU88 VS11 propeller blades

I don’t build many aircraft any longer but I have a special place in my heart for the Junkers Ju 88. Of all the Axis airplanes this one has always been my favorite perhaps deriving from my Father taking me to Wright-Patterson Air Museum (now the AF Museum) in 1960. Their example of the Ju 88 was sitting on a taxiway with other a/c on display. There was a catwalk along the side and we were able to get right up beside the cockpit to view the interior. Such a sinister looking bomber! An first impression that has lasted a lifetime
So when I discovered Dragon had multiple versions and several were on sale on a website I frequent the credit card came out!
Lest I digress, along with a web search of available aftermarket products for the Ju 88, I came across the multiple items available from Quickboost. I decided that QB 48265 would enhance the kit as I wasn't too sure about the kit spinners.
The item arrived in a plastic bag with a heavy card stock backing. The kit includes six paddle blade propellers, two spinners and an ingenious jig to align all the blades at the same/proper angle and accurately drill the hole in the spinners.
The pieces are cast flawlessly in a light grey resin. The pour lugs are located so they are easily removed with little or no chance of damage to the part. There are simple visual instructions included.

Conclusion:
These propellers are a ‘must have’ for anyone modeling a Ju 88
SUMMARY
Highs: Flawlessly cast. Easy assembly. Reasonably priced. Look much better than kit parts.
Lows: None I can see
Verdict: As stated above - a ‘must have’ for anyone modeling a Ju 88 that was equipped with the VS11 propellers

I live in the mountains north of Santa Cruz California. I have been building now since the early 1990's when I rediscovered modeling. Most of my kits are built with dioramas in mind. I took a "creative block" hiatis for a couple years - 2011 to 2013. I wasn't active in the modeling world. During tha...

Used this replacement set on a recent project (Ju 88 from KG 3) and significantly improved the "looks" of the Junkers, being much more accurate than the kit's offerings. Pedro
