Ju 87B interior S.A.

Eduard's Ju 87B photo etched set is destined to the nice Italeri kit (kit n° 2690) which has been released in late 2010 (see review here) and consists of two PE frets of which one is pre-painted.

Fret n°1 comprises 37 parts of which some are very small. You get a two part instrument panel, radio boxes, levers and switches, seat belts, etc…

Fret n°2 is bigger and comprises 105 parts. Here as well there are tiny parts and the appropriate tools and glue will be necessary to use them properly on the model. A lot of parts are destined to the external surface of the aircraft (access panels in various sizes, control hinges, new walkways, etc…) but there are also parts for the interior (new seat, details for the interior of the clear parts, new rudder pedals, etc…). A very nice radiator grill is included as well.

As is always the case with Eduard, the quality of both photo etched frets is very good. The pre-painted parts are excellent.

The black & white instructions are printed on an A4 sheet and an A5 size paper so to constitute a small 5 pages booklet. They are nicely done and easy to follow. Some plastic will need to be removed from some parts to be replaced by the PE parts and this is well explained in the instructions.

conclusion

This is a nice PE set destined to the Italeri Stuka and will improve the look of the finished model. However, to be honest, only slightly since most parts included on the fret are already present in the kit. The Eduard parts are finer though so I can still recommended this reference to modelers who like the finest details to be present in their kits.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AeroScale.
SUMMARY
Highs: Includes finer detail parts
Lows: Improves only slightly the appearance of the model.
Verdict: Recommend to modellers who like the best for their model kits even if it won't have a dramatic impact on it's final appearance.
