A-20B Havoc Exterior

Eduard have released a exterior etch set for the 1/72nd scale MPM A-20B Havoc of which a review of this kit can be found here.
Packed in the now standard sealed bag, the contents contain one fret and a set of instructions.
The fret isn't self adhesive or pre coloured. The fret contains around 70 parts, with a couple of the parts a little on the small side, but nothing absolutely tiny.
Most of this set updates and replaces the undercarriage assembly. The nose bay gets added sidewalls and spars for the floor. The doors get new inside facings and a detailed hinge mechanism. The nose undercarriage leg gets a oleo and a couple of mounting points added.
The main undercarriage bays have new inner door detail added as well as some extra detail for the inside of the bays and new door hinges. A steel plate for the main floor bay is also included. The main undercarriage legs have added brake lines and oleos.
The engine cylinders have some very nice ignition wires to be added.
The rest of the fret contains some actuators for the control surfaces and several access hatches, which have some very fine rivet detail engraved on them.
Instructions

The instructions are printed in a black and white line drawing and are well drawn and easy to follow.
The kit parts to be replaced or updated clearly marked.
The instructions are easy to follow even if you have never attempted Photo etch before.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE.

I started modelling in the 70's with my Dad building Airfix aircraft kits. The memory of my Dad and I building and painting a Avro Lancaster on the kitchen table will always be with me. I then found a friend who enjoyed building models, and between us I think we built the entire range of 1/72 Airfi...
