The figure
Master Details' 1:32 scale WW2 RAF and British Commonwealth Fighter Pilot in desert and tropical service figure comes in a resealable bag and is accompanied by two instruction sheets in A5 format of which one is printed in color. One could wonder why instructions sheets are necessary for such a product as often there is nothing of the like provided for a single resin pilot. But this is obviously different in this case since the figure is composed of no less than 14 parts! Below is a listing of them:
- one torso
- four arms
- two legs
- four heads
- two oxygen masks
- one oxygen hose

Of course Master Details don't ask you tu build a four headed and four armed RAF pilot. The figure is of course multi-pose and you can switch from one position to another simply by replacing the optional arm and head parts. This is a nice idea, especially in such a big scale, and will allow you to adapt the figure to the situation you want to depict. The pilot will always remain in a seated position though.

The quality of the castings is excellent and it is to note that the four heads, one oxygen mask and the oxygene hose are made of white metal. I found no air bubbles in my sample except for a big one under the parachute which will be easy to fill. However, I don't think it will be visible once the figure is placed inside the cockpit of the model anyway. One mould line appears on one side of the torso and will have to be eliminated but all the other parts are clean.

The four heads, cast in white metal, are very nice and present four configurations:
- without oxygen mask (hanging) and googles off
- without oxygen mask (hanging) and google on
- with oxygen mask and google off
- with oxygen mask and google on

Conclusion
This is a very fine figure from Master Details. The quality is excellent and the options provided a very nice touch. For the price asked, one can't ask much more!
