About Jim Starkweather (staff_Jim)
FROM: NEW HAMPSHIRE, UNITED STATES

I started building models in 1971 when I was 6. My first model was a 1/32 P-40 Warhawk. Revell I believe. From there I moved onto the standard cars, Apollo spacecraft, and other kid orientated kits. This looks like a really nice helicopter. Any idea what would have to be done on it to make it a USCG MH-65C/D?

I read somewhere that they are already going to do the Dolphin and also a Cougar too. Woohoo!

That would be cool.

I built this kit and it goes together very well.

I've just taken receipt of this kit from Jim and will be doing a Review Video on it. On first inspection it does have a couple of niggles ! The paint guide has the wrong Tamiya paints listed and the Box Art shows the Maritime Variant with a Winching System, Rescue Equipment and a Night Sun Spotlight, none of which are provided in the kit. Also the Kit contains 12 Seats, which basically makes it a Civilian Helo and not the Maritime Variant shown on the Box. Look out for me Video Review, coming soon. Andy.

That's a shame about the boxed version. I was looking forward to the maritime variant...
