Soon to be released from IIiad Design:-
1/48 Spitfires over India and 1/72 Pre-War Hurricanes.
Following on from their first release 'Stars in the Sky' Iliad Design have followed it up with another release 'More Stars in the Sky'. This 1/72 decal release features the aircraft flown by James Stewart, Dan Rowan and Ted Williams as well as the B-17 Clarke Gable used for an instructional film.
Iliad Design have released a set of decals in 1/48 scale celebrating the milestone builds of the F-4 Phantom. 'Milestone Phantoms' includes markings for the 1000th, 2000th, 3000th, 4000th and a rather colourful 5000th Phantoms rolling off the production line. Also included are markings for the last US built Phantom , no 5057. An astonishing number of aircraft built.
Iliad Designs have released two intriguing decal sheets for some brightly coloured Hurricanes in 1/72 and camouflaged B-29's in 1/48. After viewing the Hurricane sheet, I feel the need to buy a couple of Hurricane kits and paint them red and blue ready for these decals.
Iliad Designs are to republish one of their books due to popular demand, 'Colours of the Falcons', has been out of print for some time. The book contains a chronology of camouflage schemes and colours used on Soviet aircraft during the Second World War. Included are colour schemes, markings, special and non-standard schemes, interior finishes, and more. The title has 56 pages of text and photos on heavy coated paper, plus laminated card cover. Also included are four pages of colour profile art.
Latest release from Iliad Designs are marking for a number of F-104 Starfighters involved in combat.
Continuing my involuntary news focus on WWII bomber decals at the moment, Iliad Designs have released this interesting set of decals for a mix of camouflaged and natural metal finished aircraft. The Marauder has always been one of my favorite WWII subjects purely because of the really interesting range of finishes and it's great name for a combat aircraft. Not to much detail on the markings I am afraid.
