Armory have announced the future release of a series of FAB bombs used by Soviet combat aircraft. The Russian term for general-purpose bomb is Fugasnaya Aviatsionnaya Bomba, abbreviated FAB and followed by the bombs nominal weight in kilograms. Most Russian iron bombs have circular ring airfoils rather than the fins used by Western types. The FAB-9000M-54 is comparable to the British WWII Grand Slam! Even though these weapons were first built in 1954, they are still used today.
