Hi all Got the book this week and though the price is a bit hight I can recommend it for all IAF fans. Lots of photos (I still prefer a book over a compact disk or digital versatile disk --- you do not need electricity to watch it) Still, having the two books by Mr. Aloni on the israeli Phantoms I would have preferred a similar approach on the F-16 A/B Netz ... this way I only have one squadron for a similar price and the text is rather limited. I also have the earlier booklet by Ranaan Weiss and Yoav Efrati and together it is o.k. but it would have been nice to have a complete work on the Netz in Israeli service (including combat claims and losses) in one book and not "umpteen booklets". Nonetheless I repeat my recommendation: go buy it (an no I did not get it as a sample but I bought it at the full price) all the best Steffen

Well.....sort of Daco series! Great book for the theme lovers! But let me say that the price is huge for super B&W photos, but horrible out of focus colour ones! I was expecting something else from the authors, since they have done much better. Take your shot for some nice rare pics, sq history etc, but....something is missing here, or is it me! Cheers

Oh lookout; a Juvat in the House Myself; Panton, 94-95 No its not you. I was at the Phoenix Nationals a week ago and got a chance to look at the book. I was also dissapointed with the photo quality as well as the black and white content. Yes, this could have been a lot better and is the reason why I left it on the table. Mike V

Hi Guys many thanks for your comments, may I ask what you expect to be different? I have the book and though I was a bit disappointed because I expected a little more for the money I paid (or vice versa i find it a expensive) I think it is o.k. from the photo contents. As an example: I have some pix my parents took during that timeframe and sometimes you can hardly see whats going on on these even if you know what they show, so especially color pix from privat sources do not have professional quality ... Hello there, My dear friend Steffen, from tha amount a have paid, let me sai again, this is indeed a master piece abaout the subject. If you consider the backstage fotos inside the squadron day to day operations and chronological achievements, the record is being set.GREAT. Now if you see the colour fotos included, most of them have been seen previouslly on other books and in the authors previous books with much better quality! Why show in the first pages a table with Migkill dates and serials!? Personally i would prefer another format for the book more A4 alike! But this is me! Thank you Juvat! I do not fully get what you would expect, but I got a better picture what you did not like. In general I would like to have one or two books on the F-16A/B Netz like the Double Ugly "Israeli Phantoms" books and considering one of these two A4 hardcover volumes is only slightly more expensive (39 Euro vs. ~35 I paid for the F-16 booklet) there is sure some room for more stuff per buck. I do not have a huge jet library so I am grateful for the pix I get and sure if you have collected quite a bit the colour pictures do surely repeat. Having lived in the eastern block then I remember we did have colour film for the cameras but it was mighty expensive and the results were not like todays pix ... I cannot really estimate how it was in Israel during that timeframe, but might be similar (for different reasons). Furthermore I think the Netz was a mil. hardware that you could not photograph as you wished so maybe there is not more new material that can be published -- either for security reasons or for the mere (non)existence of it. P.S. I just checked my CC and I was wrong, I paid 36 $ plus fees so it was just below 30 Euro. Still a tad expensive, but better that I wrote before cheers Steffen
