There's great news for UK modellers with the announcement that the full range of Testors products are to be distributed in the UK by Creative Models Ltd.
In particular, this means ModelMaster paints, which have been notoriously hard to find in Blighty.

Testors' press release reads:

"For Immediate Release 091110 – U.K. enthusiasts will soon enjoy superior access to world-renowned ModelMaster™ paints, tools and accessories.

That’s because Creative Models Ltd. has joined The Testor Corporation as the company’s newest international distributor, Testor announced today.

“We’re proud to partner with Creative Models,” Tom Richardson, Testor Director of Sales, said. “Their industry expertise, superior service and retail reach perfectly complement our 80-year reputation for hobby industry leadership.”

The significant move also promises to improve overall Testors® product availability to U.K. hobbyists, Richardson stressed. “Creative Models currently serves over 400 U.K retailers – and this number continues growing!”

Stuart White, Creative Models Managing Director, concurs. “Enamels or acrylics, tools or accessories, the ModelMaster™ name remains synonymous with matchless quality and performance,” he added. “We’re delighted put our distribution muscle to work as Testor’s U.K. conduit for this distinguished brand.”

For 80 years, The Testor Corporation has remained the world’s leading source for the finest hobby and craft finishing products — paints, airbrushes, tools, and accessories. Quality Testor brands include Testors®, ColorArtz®, Aztek®, ModelMaster™, POLLY Scale™, Acryl®, Metalizer™, Floquil® and Pactra®. Testors® and ModelMaster™ brands consistently rank #1 in consumer surveys.

For more information, visit www.testors.com or contact The Testor Corporation, Rockford, IL. 61104, USA. Tel.: 1-800-435-2942."

Hi Paul The word from Stuart White of Creative Models is that they'll be available from 400+ outlets! All the best Rowan

If those outlets decide to stock the range? My LHS can get items from Creative but I doubt they will stock this range as sometimes the minimum order amount doesn't let them justify the order as demand in the area would be low. Personally for things like this, mail order could be the best way to go.

Hi Allen True - I should really have said "to" rather than "from" 400+ outlets. It's still fantastic news that the range is going to be so much more easily available in this country. All the best Rowan

There no doubt about that as after trying the dull coat i can't wait to try the rest of the paint range and their "Metalizer" paints

At last you'll get to experience the paints I use almost exclusively

I just so happened to be in the LHS while the Creative Rep was there. I asked why they only had the enamels and spray paints on their website and was told that he doubts they will bring the Acryl range to the UK as they're hoping to distribute Vallejo Acrylic paints instead. Sad news if this will be the case as i now prefer acrylics
