Modelimex have released pics of two new 1/48 scale resin kits of US WW2 airfield vehicles.
CMKSP8028 GMC 353 Airfield fuel tank is a conversion kit for Tamiya's popular 2 & 1/2 ton 6 x 6 cargo truck. Priced at just 17.75 €, the conversion will enable modellers to produce a cost-effective fuel bowser for airfield scenes.

CMKSP8031 1/48 US Fuel Trailer Type A-3 (600 gal.). This is a full kit of a WWII fuel-trailer. Again the price is 17.75 €.

The kits are cast in resin and include etched metal details, while the GMC 353 Airfield fuel tank also includes decals.

Both are available now from Modelimex - specialists in Eastern European short run kits.

Hi Rowan! Great stuff indeed! I've already spotted these items and will probably buy them for my Aleutian diorama. CMK and other 1/48 scale diorama products are also available from Quarter-Kit, a french modelling webstore. I'm currently building the GMC + Fuel Tank conversion from Gaso-Line. Both conversion kits are very similar (obviously) and I first though they were produced by the same people. But this seems not to be the case. Below is a picture of the GMC and the "Light Vehicle" from Tamiya. I still have to weather them and add little details... Jean-Luc
