Wow! Thank you for sharing Tim! I am impressed. I worked on the GE F110 engine exhaust nozzle outer flaps, divergent flaps and seals as my first engineering job at GE in Cincinnati in the early 1990's. These look great! Please note that the same exhaust nozzle used on the F110-GE-400 F-14 engine was used on the shorter F110-GE-100/-129 for the late block F-16s. Would like to see a set of these to show the cracks and burning in the Rene' divergent seals for a more realistic F-16. The F-14's engine (F110-GE-400) had a longer burn length for the afterburner and therefore a more even temperature spread that did not wear out the divergent seals as quickly as on the F-16s. I don't believe there is resin in the kit, that is either for comparison or as base to build on. It looks to be straight p/e in the actual build.

You have pretty much worked it out Troy. Alexey Matvienko from Amur Reaver described the process to create the nozzle from PE parts supplied. "The PE parts a very thin (0,05 mm) stainless steel, so we use kit nozzle as a sturdy core for them. The only modification is to cut 3 mm from the rear edge to show hollow space between inner and outer flaps." Alexey Matvienko All the best tim
