Detail & Scale is to publish a new book next month “U. S. Navy and Marine Corps Carrier-based aircraft from World War II".

”Our next book to be published is not one in our series, but it is an independent title covering all of the U. S. Navy and Marine Corps carrier-based aircraft from World War II.

Not only will we cover those that served operationally, but all types that were developed and that made it to the flying prototype stage will be covered. Aircraft developed during the war, but were too late to see combat, will also be covered. In all, 25 different types of aircraft will be included.

In addition to a section on each aircraft, coverage of paint schemes and markings will be included, and maps will summarize the great carrier battles of the Pacific War in which these aircraft fought the Japanese. Losses of capital ships on both sides will be indicated.

We expect the book to be released next month, and it will be available in both digital and printed editions.”
