Oh good. There's such a shortage of Luftwaffe kits these days. Very good of airfix to fill that niche.

Come on it's not like four other companies didn't already make a Me 262. Actually it's closer to nine?!
SEP 08, 2017 - 04:44 AM
Hmmm... I think Ray was using a little gentle sarcasm. But yes, nine it as according to Hannants. It's one third the cost of the Hasegawa offering but twice as much as Revell's and Smer's offerings. On the other hand, it'll probably be well-detailed, dead accurate, a fun build and readily available. So all told good value for money and it should sell very well. Just like their B-17. I think Airfix made a good move.

It's a good move by Airfix and this kit will find its way into my stash in the very near future. and be built not long after that

Well... If Airfix wants to stay in the game, they're going to have to keep up. They're not going to keep much market share only releasing such beauties as: The Fairy Battle Bolton Paul Defiant Fairy Fulmar Armstrong Whitworth Whitley, Westland Lysander, And last but certainly not least prettiest, the Glostor Meteor. I'm just completing their new Stuka. It's quite a nice kit. Luftwaffe Sells.

It really does. I try not to read into it too much.

These Airfix new moulds have brought me back to 1/48 and 1/72 scales. I don't think that model manufactures generally worry about what others have released. This is simply part of the Airfix line and that makes it a very good addition.
