Kinetic has published the box art of their forthcoming release of the 1/48 scale Shenyang J-15 Flying Shark on the Lucky Model website

I was reading some background to the J-15 flying shark and was tickled by this comment:

” In September 2013, the Beijing-based Sina Military Network (SMN) criticized the capabilities of the J-15 as nothing more than a "flopping fish" incapable of flying from the Liaoning with heavy weapons”.

The Liaoning is first aircraft carrier commissioned into the People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force.

There will be three marking options:
-Shenyang J-15 "552", development / test airframe, 2014
-Shenyang J-15 "554", development / test airframe, 2015
-Shenyang J-15, active duty on board Liaoning (CV-16), 2017

Photo Etched parts will be included. Decals are designed by Caracal Models and printed by Cartograf.
