After the first announcement for the Ching-kuo, it looks like AFV Club has the "D" variant on the way now.

AFV Club has followed up their first announcement for the Ching-kuo with the IDF(Indigenous Defense Fighter) F-CK-1D. There does not seem to be much difference with this variant, other then according to Wikipedia, it had its name changed to the "Hsiung Ying" (Brave Hawk).
