Airfix have a release date for the 1/72nd scale Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress heading towards a hobby store near you on or around the end of September 2016
After the release of the Airfix World War II USAAF 8th Air Force Bomber resupply set, Airfix brand new tooled B-17G is about to be released. Being a new tool of a very popular aircraft it is likely that it will sell very quickly and it maybe worth while pre-ordering from Airfix direct to make sure you get one on release.
With decals for two versions

This is great news! Thank you very much for the update. Looks like more negotiations with the wife but this kit will be worth it! Great time to be a modeler. Take care. Jim
