To complement their exciting new 1:48 Horten Ho 229, Zoukei-Mura have released a set of photo-etched wood grain masks. The set includes two styles of grain patterning.
The set will obviously be useful for applications far beyond the flying wing - basically anything requiring a wood finish. Depending on the scale, you will get the effect of tighter or looser grain.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE.

Funny Zoukei-Mura calls it a "Revolution", which is actually it is not. Rabustore had these photo etch sets long before LINK

Hi Arseny You can't blame ZM for trying to make a bit of splash - "Another set of wood stencils" doesn't have quite the same ring to it in marketing speak, does it. All the best Rowan

I guess it´s all in how inflexible one is regarding the value he assigns to Truth. In any case, publicists routinely use much wicked tricks than that, dont´t they? What I would like to know is how these etched masks behave when bent to conform them to surfaces with simple or even double curvature.
